Witnesses Sought After Moped Collision in Vaughan
York Regional Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle collision involving a moped and an SUV in Vaughan.
York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit is seeking witnesses after a collision in Vaughan. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rutherford Road and Islington Avenue.
The collision involved a moped and a sport utility vehicle (SUV). The 58-year-old male moped rider from Brampton was transported to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
