Police Seek Suspects in East Gwillimbury Home Invasion

York Regional Police are investigating an armed home invasion in East Gwillimbury where two victims were assaulted.

York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit investigators are seeking to identify at least three suspects involved in a home invasion in East Gwillimbury. The incident occurred on April 13, 2026, at approximately 1:00 a.m., when three suspects entered a residence near Frederick Pearson Street and John Candy Drive.

Two victims inside the home were assaulted and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A firearm was discharged, but no injuries resulted from it. The suspects, described as males wearing balaclavas and all black clothing, fled in a dark-coloured sedan where a fourth suspect was waiting. There is no description of the driver.

Police believe this was a targeted incident and state there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
