Police Seek Suspect After Assault on Youth in Markham
York Regional Police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect following an assault on a youth in Markham.
York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating an assault that occurred on Monday, April 13, 2026. Officers received a report that an adult male approached a female youth on a York Region Transit bus and assaulted her at approximately 7:20 a.m., in the area of Yonge Street and Royal Orchard Boulevard. The victim did not sustain physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 30 years old, 5’8” tall, with a tan complexion. He was reportedly wearing dark clothing and carrying a Walmart bag.
