York Regional Police are investigating an arson that occurred at a car dealership in Vaughan. On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers patrolling near Chrislea Road and Jevlan Drive observed several vehicles on fire in a dealership parking lot. Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the flames.

Five vehicles sustained severe damage, but the dealership building was not damaged. No injuries were reported. Investigation revealed a lone suspect, carrying a plastic bag with containers, approached vehicles in the lot. The suspect reportedly poured what appeared to be accelerant on two vehicles and ignited them, causing the fire to spread to other nearby vehicles.

The suspect was seen entering a light-coloured sport utility vehicle, which then fled north on Jevlan Drive. The suspect is described as male, wearing a black jacket with the hood up, blue jeans, and black shoes.
