One Charged in Markham Commercial Robbery, Second Suspect Sought
York Regional Police have charged one man and are seeking a second suspect following an armed robbery at a commercial building in Markham.
On May 14, 2026, just before 1 a.m., police responded to reports of a robbery inside a commercial building near Warden Avenue and Masseyfield Gate. Two suspects, armed with firearms, entered the premises and stole cash and cellular phones from patrons before leaving the scene. No physical injuries were reported.
Following an investigation, on June 4, 2026, Ayden Kees Pollmann, 19, of Toronto, was charged with Robbery with a Firearm and Disguise with Intent. Search warrants were executed at two residences associated with Pollmann.
Investigators are seeking to identify a second suspect, described as Asian, approximately 5’7” with a medium build.
