Innisfil Man Charged After Whitchurch-Stouffville Arson
An Innisfil man faces multiple charges following an industrial building fire in Whitchurch-Stouffville that caused up to $1 million in damages.
Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged an Innisfil man with multiple offences after an arson in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 3:18 p.m., police and Central York Fire Services responded to reports of an industrial building fire in the area of Warden Avenue and Aurora Road. A large amount of smoke was observed at the scene. The premise sustained damage estimated to be up to $1 million. No injuries were reported.
A man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with multiple offences. Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to public safety.
