Five Men Charged After Recovery of Stolen Cannabis and Firearms
York Regional Police have charged five men following the recovery of over $2 million in stolen cannabis products and two firearms.
The York Regional Police Auto Cargo Theft Unit (ACTU) has charged five men. This action followed the recovery of over $2 million in stolen cannabis products and two illegal firearms.
On April 15, 2026, investigators located a trailer in Mississauga, near McLaughlin Road and Highway 401, that had been reported stolen from the Niagara Region. The investigation determined the trailer contained a large amount of cannabis products intended for delivery to dispensaries.
Investigators identified and arrested five males associated with the stolen trailer. During the search of these individuals, two firearms were located. York Regional Police stated they are working with Equite Association to address auto and cargo theft.
