Charges Laid in Vaughan Human Trafficking Investigation
York Regional Police have laid charges following a human trafficking investigation in Vaughan.
The York Regional Police Counter Exploitation Unit has charged a suspect in connection with a human trafficking investigation. The victim reported in October 2025 that they had been sexually assaulted, trafficked, and exploited in the sex trade between 2012 and 2019. These incidents reportedly occurred at various locations in Vaughan and across Ontario.
Investigators have released a photo of the suspect, who is known to use several aliases, as they believe there may be additional victims. Human trafficking is defined as the exploitation, manipulation, or control of a person through violence or threats to provide a sexual service or forced labor.
