About This Event

Egg Drop Engineering Challenge

Does your child enjoy hands-on building challenges and creative problem-solving? In this engineering-focused session, participants will work in teams to design and construct a protective structure that will keep an egg safe when dropped from a set height. Using limited materials, students will explore how engineers design solutions to absorb impact and protect fragile objects. Through testing and redesign, participants will learn how different design choices influence strength, cushioning, and overall performance.

Learning Outcomes
• Identify and apply basic engineering design principles to create a structure that reduces impact force and protects a fragile object.
• Build, test, and improve the design of a prototype.

Participants: Children aged 8 - 13 years old

Note: Please sign up for each of the four sessions for your child(ren) to be able to attend all four unique sessions in this program series.
