About the books
The Present
The Present introduces children to mindfulness by inviting them to focus on the here and now through the combined activities of reading and colouring. Its unique value lies in encouraging sustained attention to the task at hand, helping children practise mindful awareness as they engage with the book. By nurturing early mindfulness skills, the book supports the development of resilience and enhances children’s daily functioning. Research shows that mindfulness can reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen attention and executive functioning, all of which contribute to healthier classroom dynamics and stronger relationships. Because mindfulness is new to many people, this interactive workbook is suitable for beginners and can be used in educational, therapeutic, or university settings. With the growing popularity of colouring books, The Present offers a timely and engaging way to learn and apply mindfulness principles.
The Power of Your Face
Most of us have never truly seen our own face, only its reflection or an image on a screen. This overlooked truth becomes the starting point for a book that invites readers to recognize the power and meaning held in their own facial expressions. It explores how we connect with others through the face, which both reveals and conceals our emotions, and how our five senses help us regulate those emotions. The book also highlights the importance of mindful breathing as part of emotional awareness. Vivid, expressive artwork brings these ideas to life, illustrating the depth and beauty of human expression. Through this journey, readers come to understand a simple but profound message: you are enough.
